Genealogical papers, [ca. 1925-1957]

Getty's genealogies in typescript form, of 17th-19th century New York families, many of whom were Dutch. The Paddock, Van Allen, and Van Schaick families are most substantially represented. Also included among the volumes is some of Getty's correspondence, ca. 1920s-1950s, with other genealogists about the families studied. Two of the volumes contain typescript genealogical information that Getty extracted from an unpublished book NOTES FOR A HISTORY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEW YORK, by Asa Fitch, the manuscript of which is held by the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society Library.
